Turning World is led by Co-Directors Kate Ben-Tovim and Tam Nguyen.

Kate Ben-Tovim has over 20 years experience in the cultural sector and has lived and worked in Indonesia, India, PNG, China, UK and across Australia. She has consulted to every level of Australian government, and has worked with major festivals and artists across the world.

Awarded a Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship, a DFAT Secretary’s Citation, and Green Room Award for Curatorial Contribution, Kate is recognised as a thought leader in the areas of Asian engagement and soft power.

Tam Nguyen has over 20 years of experience in large-scale festival management, film, and the performing arts sectors in the UK, US and Australia.

Based in Melbourne, Turning World offers policy, curatorial and producing services with a focus on engaging with large-scale cultural institutions, governments and major events.

Turning World has a range of consulting projects in 2025 including providing advice to DFAT Public Diplomacy Programs, Australian Embassy Vietnam, Asialink, Arts Centre Melbourne, University of Melbourne UMAC and APAM.

We also continue our creative relationships with independent artists and cultural organisations.

We are creating new strategic programs with partners across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Some more announcements are coming soon on this.
