Kate was engaged by White Night Melbourne to curate a headline Indian focus event for the 2015 festival.

‘Sita’s Garden’ was the spectacular result- a floating ‘garden’ of 10 metre lotus flowers on the Yarra river (designed and manufactured in Melbourne by inflatable genius Filipe Reynolds) that entranced over 300,000 people across the 12 hour festival.

Each hour the audience were treated to a 15 minute performance on a floating stage weaving it’s way through the lotus flowers. Kate Co-Curated the performance components with Melbourne’s own Bollywood star Pallavi Sharda. We featured two outstanding classical dance groups from Melbourne along with Bombay Royale, a Bollywood-tastic dance set by Pallavi and the Jhoom Dancers and a sunrise yoga session for those that lasted the 12 hour marathon.
